So, the CEO of United Healthcare, Brian Thompson, was shot, and I feel like the general public has reached a level of class consciousness that is genuinely threatening the top dogs. More at 8!
I'm not gonna hide that I'm celebrating the bastard's death. Every purchase, every meal, every home this man had, it was all a celebration of death. Just that his was a celebration of the deaths of The Filthy Poors. There are hundreds of thousands of people whose lives have been personally ruined by United Healthcare, many of which whose lives were lost in the process. That demon personally assured that the lives of disabled Americans under his care were a living hell. So, no, I'm not gonna cry when he's shot dead in the streets. In fact, I watched the video of him getting got, and I actually had quite a laugh. To see such a man shot dead, to see his last moments where he realized he was not as invincible as he once believed, with bullets with, "deny", "defend" and "dispose" written on them, was good for my karmic diet. And, hey, you can't argue with results. Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield originally said that they were going to stop paying for anesthesia if they felt a surgery was "going on for too long", and they quietly rolled back the decision immediately after the shooting.
I'm a filthy anarchist, though. What about the people on the right? I said that the general public reached a level of class consciousness, right? Well... yeah. There were a few uploads by popular right-wing figures, such as Ben Shapiro, whose comments were full of right-wing viewers saying, "It's not just the leftists." Facebook posts on the subject had laughing emojis be the highest response. This was an issue that crossed party lines, and, from the bottom of my heart, it was the closest that being online had come since the summer when Pokemon Go was first released. The shooter highkey became an American hero.
And that's what I think is interesting. A figurehead is a powerful thing, which is what this shooter has become. The rich know it, too. Look at any article written by a wealthy person in regards to this, and you'll see that they are openly afraid of how much support the shooter is getting. Elon Muskrat famously never spends time with his kids, but now he's started dragging around one of his youngest children to conferences, a move which many took as an attempt to dissuade anyone from trying to take him out next ("you wouldn't traumatize my poor kid, would you?"). I personally feel as if these reactions make it even more likely that there will be a copycat shooter, but that's just me. The point is, the 1% are seeing the celebration of the shooter, and they are scared shitless.
Astute readers may notice that I am saying "the shooter", and not a different particular name. Well that's because, to be blunt, I do not believe Luigi Mangione is the shooter. I cannot believe that a man who left fake clues to mock the man he shot and then vanished just showed up in a McDonald's in broad daylight, still carrying the murder weapon and silencer 4 days after the shooting, a 3-page handwritten explanation of his motives, fake IDs, all while being fully unmasked just one state away. Mangione has alleged that the NYPD planted evidence on him, and I believe him. The NYPD have been pursuing even the most dumbass leads they had for this, and they've been spreading photos that are obviously not the same person. Plus, they're perhaps one of the most corrupt police forces in the world, with a looong history of fabricating evidence against suspects. Now that the guy's been arrested, he's been rushed to kangaroo court, where pictures of him in his holding cell have been released. To me, it's very obvious that they're framing an innocent man to make an example out of him and shut down the conversation this whole ordeal has started (and to not look like complete incompetent idiots).
Even if it is him, though, it's absolutely insane to me that people have been stalking and doxxing a man who hasn't even been convicted of the crime that they're accused of yet. Be that everyday internet sleuths or big-name American journalists, it seems as if everybody has forgotten that it's "innocent until proven guilty". If Mangione manages to fight his way to an "innocent" ruling, his life is still absolutely going to be irrevocably ruined, and that's really sad to think about.
I hope those pigs have their scheme exposed, and that they get ruthlessly mocked and ridiculed for the rest of their lives. I hope that Mangione gets an "innocent" ruling and is able to return to his life, as normal as it could possibly be. And I hope that the shooter, or shooters, wherever they are, continue to get off Scot-free, knowing that they, personally, rid the world of a mass murderer and parasite.

Date: 2024-12-15 09:48 am (UTC)A few of my friends have gone to bat for him ("He had a family!" and so such) like so what? This man was irredeemably evil and made his riches on the deaths of millions that likely never weighed on his conscious. In retrospect, it's a small price to pay for him and everyone else in a similar position to him to have to look over their shoulders for the rest of their lives and that's something to celebrate.
Plus the memes are funny, he sucks and it's not a crime to laugh at funny shit.
While I'm not actively wishing death on them, I don't particularly care if more karmic justice is dealt đ¤ˇââď¸
His manifesto especially sounds so fake to me. (Thanking the pigs????) I feel like a lot of shit's been planted on him because the real guy's hidden in plain sight and no one else cares if the culprit is caught or not. Fine with me!
